Description: RECOVERY--The rehabilitation of the Gate House at Wappepello Lake consists of mechandical and electrical items of work. The existing 75-ton overhead crane will be replaced with a new electrically-operated trolley. Removal of a small portion of the roof is required to remove the existing crane and install a new one. The switchboard, power and lighting panel boards and all wiring will be replaced. The interior lighting of the Gate House will be replaced. An existing diesel generator and day tank will be replaced with a new unit with an integrated sub-base tank. Estimated price is between between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 237990. A Request for Proposal will be issued and the resulting contract award will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer. The contract duration is 270 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Plans and specifications for Solicitation No. W912P9-10-R-0710 will be available on or about 20 November 2009 on the St. Louis District Contracting Home Page at the following address: //www.usace.army.mil/.
